This 3-day Marrakech desert tour follows the High Atlas crossing to Ait Ben Haddou, the Rose Valley and Dades before reaching Merzouga. It combines mountain roads, earthen villages and dramatic gorges with a night near the Erg Chebbi dunes.
The route includes a hotel night in the Dades area and a desert camp night with a camel trek, Moroccan dinner and an opportunity to enjoy the desert sky. The third day returns to Marrakech across southern Morocco and the High Atlas. It is an active road journey with a particularly long return day, so expect early starts and a varied pace.

Leave your Marrakech hotel or riad early and cross the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, continue past Ouarzazate and follow the Rose Valley towards Dades. Spend the night at a hotel in the Dades Gorge area.

Travel to Todra Gorge before continuing towards Erfoud and Merzouga. Meet your local desert guides for a camel trek towards the camp at Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a Moroccan dinner and the desert camp atmosphere, with entertainment as arranged locally.

Wake early for the chance to see sunrise over the dunes. Return from camp for breakfast and begin the long drive back through Ouarzazate and the High Atlas. Finish at the agreed drop-off point in Marrakech.
